MBC was formed in 1995 as an import-export company
specializing in books and periodicals on Myanmar
(Burma), and all materials published in Burmese
and other indigenous languages. Out-of-print and
rare materials like old books and journals can
be supplied in photocopy or digital formats, CD-ROM,
etc.
The
Board of Directors and management staff include
experienced book-sellers, professionally qualified
librarians and computer experts. It is the only
company of its kind in the world.

Current services
provided by MBC
.: Book Distribution (both wholesale and retailing for
which our network covers all main cities of   Burma)
.: Book Trading (Exporting and Importing)
.: Mail Ordering Service (Mainly to libraries, scholars
and individuals)
.: Scanned copies of old and out-of-print books on Myanmar
(both in English and Burmese languages)
.: OCR or Digitalising – Some of the books will
be put on CD-ROM. (For example, all volumes of   JBRS
including an unpublished index )
.: Annotated bibliography of the best books published
in Myanmar (both in Myanmar and English   languages)
will be published every six months from early 1998 and
also selected materials from   previous
publications will be compiled in a Selected Retrospective
Bibliography format. Library of   Congress
Romanization System will be used for non-English materials.

transfer method. Bank wire transfer to our account in
Singapore. Account information
will be provided in our invoice. c.
Method 3 ~ US$ check drawn in Banks in Singapore. Send
your US$ check to our bank in Singapore
(for all customers). If your check is not drawn on Banks
in Singapore then we will charge
you additional US$10 and please also note that it can
take upto 3 weeks to clear checks (Account
number and Address of our
bank will be provided in our invoice).
d. Method 4 ~ For United Kingdom Customers
Only For U.K. customers, payment can be arrange it by
paying in Sterling Pound and deposit to Barclays Bank
of any branch. Please inform us that if
you are U.K. customer as we will bill you in Sterling
Pound rather than in US$.

Terms & Conditions
.: Orders supplied by M.B.C will be charged for
postage. Postage and handling charges will be 10% of
the total sale value to eastern (e.g Thailand, S'pore)
and 15% of total sale value to Western (e.g
U.S.A, U.K, France) countries respectively. Please note
that some of the items such as newspapers,
CD-Roms are inclusive of Postage.
.: Libraries and study centres have to make the payment
within 30 days on receipt of the book.
.: Individual orders have to make the payment on receipt
of the invoice. The book will be released only
after receiving payment from individual orders.
.: Prices are subject to change without notice.
